The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires businesses to provide reasonable access to the same services for all customers and visitors, regardless of disability. While you may have seen this regulation put into place in the form of physical accommodations such as ramps, handrails and wider doorways in brick-and-mortar premises, you may not realize this regulation also applies to how individuals interact with your business online.

Meeting the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act requires that businesses offer reasonable accommodations to their digital properties, such as websites and mobile apps, to make them accessible to people with visual, hearing and mobility impairments.

Baldwin Publishing has worked hard to upgrade our digital content portals so they are accessible to persons with disabilities and compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Access to our portals and content accessed by means of our portals is designed and delivered to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA guidelines.

In addition to taking the necessary steps to enhance the accessibility of our online content, Baldwin is committed to continually improving accessibility of our content for all users, particularly those with disabilities. We welcome comments on how to improve the accessibility of our digital content and will do our best to provide an alternate format of our content when necessary.

By improving the accessibility of our licensed content portals, we help our clients deliver content that meets ADA requirements. Although we have taken steps to ensure our digital portals are ADA compliant, we cannot guarantee that content delivered to our clients in a downloadable format or through an API and then displayed online by a client in ways that we do not control (such as on a blog, through a mobile app, when posted to social media, etc.) meets accessibility guidelines. In those situations, Baldwin does not implement the presentation of our content and therefore cannot guarantee accessibility.

Want to know more about our ADA compliant content portals?
